Online tuition

Personalised online tuition for students in Pakistan and abroad.

Lessons over video with independent tutors who live across Pakistan. Tell us the level, curriculum, subjects and the times that work, and we introduce tutors who teach that combination online. Tutors in the network give two free demo days, so the student tries them before you decide.

Who this is for

When does online tuition work better than a home visit?

What to expect

How online sessions run

Good online tuition is not a lecture over a webcam. Tutors we introduce for online work use the tools that make it interactive.

Video plus a shared board

A digital whiteboard or shared document, so working is visible to both sides and saved afterwards.

Camera on, questions on

Sessions are one-to-one and conversational; the tutor can see when the student is lost, just as at home.

Homework and marking between sessions

Work is photographed or shared and marked before the next session, so time online is spent on what needs fixing.

A parent can sit in

For younger students we suggest a parent is nearby, at least for the first few sessions.

Home visit or online? A quick comparison

Home tuition Online tuition
Who it suits Any age, in Lahore Depends on age, attention, learning needs and adult support
Choice of tutor Tutors who work in your part of Lahore Tutors from anywhere in Pakistan
Lesson times Fixed visits, with travel time on the tutor’s side Set around both time zones; short, frequent sessions are easier
Free demo Two free demo days with each tutor Two free demo days with each tutor
Parent involvement Natural; you are in the house Sit in when you want, especially at the start
Setup None Device, quiet corner, stable internet

Many families use both. A weekly home visit for the core work and a short online check-in before a test is a common pattern in exam years.

How are lesson times arranged across time zones?

Times are arranged around the student’s availability and the tutor’s, with the time difference worked out before the first lesson. Pakistan keeps the same clock all year, so for a family whose country changes its clocks, the gap to Pakistan moves by an hour twice a year.

  • Tell us your city and time zone in the request, along with the days and hours the student is free.
  • We look for overlap. We approach tutors whose free hours fit yours, and tell you plainly if the overlap is thin.
  • Write the timetable in both times. The student’s local time and Pakistan time side by side, so a clock change does not cost a lesson.

What to sort out before the first session

  • The device and the space. A laptop or tablet with a camera, at a table, in a room where the student will not be interrupted. Phones work in a pinch but make shared boards hard to read.
  • The material. Send the tutor photos of the textbook pages, the last test and the school’s homework before the first session.
  • The demo days. Use the two free demo days to judge whether the tutor teaches well on camera before you agree a month.
  • Recording. If you would like sessions recorded for revision, agree it with the tutor up front.

If you would rather have someone in the room in Lahore, the same request can be matched as school and exam tuition at home, and a female tutor can be requested for either format.

Questions about online tuition

Is online tuition as effective as home tuition?

For many students, yes, when the tutor is experienced with video and lessons are interactive. How well it works depends on the student’s age, attention span, learning needs and how much adult support is around them, so tell us about those and we will say honestly whether online is likely to suit.

Which grades, curricula and subjects are available online?

Grades 1 to 8, Matric and FSc, O Level, A Level, IGCSE, GCSE and IB, across Pakistani boards, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and IB, plus SAT, MDCAT and ECAT preparation. Availability depends on finding a suitable tutor for the exact subject and level, and we will tell you if we cannot.

How are lesson times set if we live abroad?

Around the student’s availability and the tutor’s. Put your city and time zone in the request, and we look for a tutor whose free hours overlap with yours. Fees and payment are agreed directly with the tutor.

Is there a free demo for online lessons?

Yes. Each tutor we introduce offers two free demo days of roughly an hour, so the student can try them before you agree anything. Home tuition works the same way.

What does online tuition cost?

Fees are set by the tutor and depend on level and subject; online sessions are sometimes, but not always, a little less than a home visit because there is no travel. Fees are agreed monthly and directly between you and the tutor. Tell us your budget and we only approach tutors within it.

No travel, and a wider choice of tutors.

Level, curriculum, subjects and your time zone are enough to start.
